I’m Deise Maciel da Silva, the proud co-owner of Mandala Travel, along with my business partner, Bruna Silva.

I had a passion for traveling and wanted to work in a field where I could make people happy, so I came to Canada from Brazil to study travel and tourism in college. I enjoyed my time so much that I ended up migrating to Canada after graduation.
I felt there was tremendous scope for setting up a travel agency, catering to Brazilians as my niche market, and it all seemed to grow from there. I have now been in the travel business for the past eighteen years.
Over the past decade, I have noticed that people are a lot more informed about what is available as they have access to the world on their mobile. So as travel professionals, we have embraced internet tools to provide clients infinite possibilities for a vacation in real-time.
It’s pleasing to be able to facilitate customers with multiple options of what they desire. Whether it’s customizing an itinerary for a holiday, or booking a flight to assist a customer to reunite with their family, I work round the clock to achieve a solution.
As an individual, I believe what sets me apart from the others is the attention to detail that I render when helping people to realize their dream trips. I also make sure that our pricing is competitive, which has enhanced our integrity and made us successful.
I attribute our success to providing honest and accurate information, which contributes to our focus on customer service. So every time we get an excellent review or receive a recommendation from a customer, it fills me with immense satisfaction.
When I am not assisting clients, I love to travel, read, cook, and relax. As a company, we are also involved in several non-profit organizations, such as the Sick Kids Foundation, and Life for Lives Foundation, which is fulfilling.
I have enjoyed sharing my story about the things which matter to me and how they influence the way we do business.
